I installed my neighbor's 740 in my aircraft and it worked fine. perhaps the wireless component in my unit has failed because when I select network it simply shows a continuous spinning symbol for up to 30 minutes and locks the unit. the only way to stop it is to power off.

My suggestion would be to call Adventure Pilot during business hours and explain your situation. They will likely be able to determine whether your unit is misconfigured or malfunctioning over the phone, and if repair is required, explain what your options are. I spoke to iFly service. they referred to the condition as the wifi spinning wheel of death. the good news is they can fix it and the service charge is $40. I am very pleased.
