Walter;

Thank you and you are correct. Guess what I did: menu; set up; ads/b (waiting). I set this menu option for ads/b to "waiting" and it connected and the ads/b status page came up and walla the heartbeats came on and the checkmarks started appearing.

Just confirmed in sitting in the plane on the ground ... Lynx active traffic came up (not ads/b as I wasn't airborne). I can see the weather will come up once I'm in the air!

Thanks again for all the support ... you guys are awesome and I hope I helped some out here with the set up procedure.

Walter;

I also set "auto-detect" ... not Lynx L3, which didn't seem to want to work.

I saw the Auto Detect button there also on the new software and did select it. FYI , It didn't seem to have any problem in connecting up with the Navworx Exp on mine. Not sure if the Navworx button was prior selected or not. I usually use the ilevil button when done manually. Just a note to say I really like the new features in being able to connect or reconnect to the wifi without going all way back thru exiting nav, menu, settings , wifi and etc. THANKS . I find i do have to reconnect occasionally , not sure why. But now not a problem . "THANKS Walter".

Jeff;

  I figured out the most fool proof way to get the Ipad to connect to the Lynx 9000+ while using the Ifly GPS app ... I make sure my Ipad is completely shut down before engine start -  I wait until just after engine start when the Lynx has gone through it's self testing and is up and running - when that is finished I turn on my Ipad and it connects right up.

  I've never had a problem using this approach.  If I start the engine with my Ipad screen just asleep, it connects sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't, so I have to use the fool proof procedure above at that point anyway.
