Other programs such as Foreflight & IG Map HD use wi-fi for the connection. Can you use it to connect iFly to the flight sim? I don't have a serial port out on my Mac.

Excellent Walter,

I will try it out tonight on X-Plane.

FSX will be a littler harder as it does not have a NEMA output.

There is some third party s/w but I don't have that info in front of me at this time.

Yes, the 720 could do that...but will be for another release.

Walter,

I was up and running in about 5 minutes!

In just a few short minutes I was able to fly the sim and focus on the 720. I had been wondering why I had to always chase the "follow plane" when I was changing maps and plates, etc. When I actually had time to focus on the GPS and not actually flying the plane in real life, I could see what I had been missing. I love it, now I know I will become much more proficient in using the 720 and all of it's functions.

All functions seemed to work just as expected!

I found that setting the NEMA output for 5 transmission per second seemed to satisfy the 720 for smoothness and responsiveness to button pushes and functions.

Do you have an ideal setting in mind for the transmission per second?

I have your cable with a USB COM Cable and a Null adapter between the two cables. Fired right up, no problems on USB COM 3 port.

Thank you so much for this. I promise I will be spending much more time on the beta releases now.
