In the map view I have a mini EFIS box and a mini Profile box along with other instruments.  It would help if the larger overlays like those could be individually slid out of the way to get a peek at what is underneath.  One example would be like the simulator controls box.  Another option would be to let them move for a moment then have them snap back to where they were. I know I can slide the whole map around but after the peeking is over, the map doesn't necessarily go back to where it was unless I had it centered before.  And the Instrument Group, Customize option is a bit more stuff to do.

Thanks,

DJ

What if when you touch the map, all the buttons and instruments go partly transparent?  Or would that be too weird/distracting?

DJ, The simulator controls can be slid around by dragging the top bar, or you can tap that bar 3 times and it'll disappear for 5 seconds (handy for screenshots too). The only thing that won't fade away when you pan the map, and can't be moved like the simulator controls, is the vertical profile instrument.

There is an instrument view with no instruments. Maybe if we had a way to momentarily call up that view.

Cobra, Shaun, Tim,

I think any of those options would do what I was asking.

Thanks,
