Walter, I strongly feel that it's best to only extend the runway you intend to land on. For me, the 5-mile feather as with Lowrance, has it's greatest safety enhancing value by assuring you line up on the intended R/W at a complicated airfield.

Walter -

Default should be ALL runways extended ONLY on destination airport with the option (by touching airport) to only extend one specified runway. The rationale is approaching airport one can see the geometry of airplane course to available runways...when you are assigned a runway by tower (or hear what the active is on radio) you can then extend only the runway you plan to land on.

All airports (destination or not) should have the option by touching, to turn on runway extensions for that airport...but the default should be to have them turned off.

In my humble opinion ;-)

Thanks for a GREAT product.

Steve

It is crucial for me to have the ability to specify an extension for a specific rumway. As I approach an unfamiliar airport, seeing a visual clue to the approach for the active runway is the best orientation tool that I have ever discovered.

All,

I would like to get final thoughts on this feature before we release. We will only show one runway per airport at a time, and it must be specifically selected. Here are some screen screen shots. Specific questions are: Is the runway & ID clear enough? Or is it too intrusive? Is it obvious how to access this feature (pull the context menu near an airport, select Show Extended Runway, then pick the runway)? Is it obvious what's going on with the extended runway diagram?

Thanks,
Walter

I agree.... Nice work.

On a related matter, I wonder if the little airplane could be made more obvious; I often lose it in the sunlight. Perhaps blinking? or ?
