Maybe I am just not seeing it but is there an easy way to reset direct to destination if you were to fly off course without having to enter the flight plan ?

I know I can touch the destination then select fly direct but on long flights that would entail changing zoom levels

The various instruments, Bearing, Course Tape, Distance to Waypoint, etc, are all based on your current location. So really there is no need to modify your flight plan - just following the Course Tape ball and it will lead you to your waypoint.

But if you want to modify the flight plan, you can touch your airplane to pull the context menu, then select Add Waypoint Here. (Or you can drag the route line).

I think I understand what Chas is asking. On the Garmin units (and others as well), there is a button on the casing for "direct to", sometime signified with a "D". If you're off course when using a Garmin (even an older unit), all you have to do is press the "D" button and it redraws the navigation or course line from your present position to your destination.

On the Ifly, you either have to enter the flight plan to do this or use the History button and select your destination again. It would be nice to have this button on the screen (or at least be able to add it as an option from the menu).

Got it. And I presume the purpose of doing that is so you can easily see what your course is crossing - airspaces, obstructions, etc. Which leads me to this question:

Would you guys like to see a line always drawn from your current location to the target waypoint? This would not only satisfy the above purpose, but it would do so without requiring any additional clicks. And it would be a nice visual confirmation that the iFly is targeting the correct waypoint.

Thoughts?
