I throw mine in my flight bag, not a problem. There are really no parts to come loose.

I don't know the answer, but unless you have a hanger, or overhead cover, I'll bet your interior gets hotter than 90 sitting in the sun in the summer.

What's the significance of 90 (F, I presume)?  If he flies with the Stratux on the glareshield as shown, I'm sure it gets hotter than 90F on any sunny summer day during flight.  The current Stratux fan controller turns on the fan when the board temp sensor reaches about 120F.

Thanks Gents,

I am going to try leaving it in the plane for 4 months as a test...we will see.  My plane IS outside, but I keep it covered so it is not unbearably hot.  The cold is a factor but then I do pre-heat the engine, oil AND cabin.

We just took one apart and found loose connections, probably from it being moved frequently, so we will see if some stability will help mitigate this.

Will report back later with results...

I leavemy Stratux in the plane all the time. I have it mounted on the hat rack in the back of the Piper. I just disconnect the battery to recharge it.

As fir the corrupted card, I always just pull the plug on the battery pack and leave the cord connected to the Stratux. I previously had a Raspberry Pi2 that I had used to originally build my Stratux some 4 years ago.I had the card corruption with the Pi2. I have since upgraded to the Raspberry Pi3 and still continue to just pull the plug. Have not had an issue with it in the past year and a half. Just thought I would throw that out there.

If you're running your Statux on an older Raspberry Pi2, consider upgrading to a Pi3.

Why? The last 10 I bought were Pi3's. They are not immune to SD card corruption if you just unplug the battery cable. I recommend cloning a spare card for your flight bag.
