Since he's 1090 OUT, he's most likely asking for his "puck" to be transmitted on 1090. Therefore the traffic he receives from the ground stations will be on the 1090 frequency and the only thing he'll receive from the ground station on 978 is weather. 978 traffic will be received directly from the 978 aircraft, which, as I said, he can pick up on the ground.

Jeff, sounds like your iPad is connecting just fine - I think your IP is correct. Do you have the latest iFly version installed? If so, make sure you have "Auto Connect" selected in the Menu -> About -> Connected Devices -> Wireless Device. If it still doesn't connect, please send us a bug report Menu -> About -> Send Bug Report, we'll see if there are any clues in those logs.

That's exactly what I said; glad we can agree. However, his 9000+ includes its own display of traffic and weather, so he's not exactly "moot" without his iPad.
