BTW..until that feature is ready, some pilots actually swivel the iFly in the mount to simulate track-up. Sort of an extreme solution...but pretty easy to do - you just loosen the ball/socket joint on the mount and it freely swivels around.

I was a purchase reservation in December 2009 and one of the first to place order and receive my iFly 700. I have over 45 hours flying it from the day I after I received it in mid January. The forum is great and the iFly 700 is becoming better everyday. Everyone seems to have a useful suggestion of one type or another.

I would like to note a famous saying that could change this fabulous product:
"You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time."-Abraham Lincoln

Keep up the good work keeping this in mind. Again, THANKS for the great product for the average pilot.

Walter, is was nice meeting you at Sun n Fun on Friday. I was happy to see lots of people crowding your booth and I hope you made many sales while you were there.

So I got to use my 700 from Norwood, Ma. to Peter O Knight field and back, and it worked great.

However, a couple of issues that maybe were corrected in the leatest version, which I hadn't downloaded fo the trip; if I touched the screen for a drop pin or option button close to the screen edges, nothing would happen. I had to pan the map so that the spot I wanted to touch was not so close to the edge. Kind of a nuisance. I had occasional freeze-ups, but since I can't recall the steps that led to it, that isn't much help. One, though, was when selecting "Airspace" in the flight plan page....it just froze up. Lastly, I found that when the buttons fade out, they fade too much and I often hit the wriong one. Not a big deal.

It's a great unit....I hope for XM WX someday soon....

Robert, it was nice to meet you too. If you don't have version 3.05 please download that, it should fix the freeze up problem. I noticed the popup-marker not working at screen edges too - will look into that.

Thanks!
Walter
