On the little "setting gear" on the right side of the screen, there is an option to go more or less opaque or not....I play with it until I have the diagram looking like it is above so I get the best of both worlds - the satellite photo AND the airport diagram. Very handy in places where there are OLD taxiways not being used that can cause some confusion.
I fly into a lot of OLDER airports where it is very easy to "bite off" on a wrong turn at an older taxiiway. In fact, I recently heard/saw a controller absolutely rip into a student pilot for getting stuck in the middle of an airport on a paved section of the airfield that was actually an old, obsolete taxiway.
This is where the combination of the photo and diagram are very helpful to me.
Additionally, I with ADSB on, I can often times see other planes TAXIING near me, which is really good for turning and seeing them in BLIND SPOTS to avoid a ground collision - thanks iFly!
