In the air, realview. On the ground, airport diagram.

It's easier to find what I need to see with the realview before I get on the ground. Once there, it's easier to find my way around the taxiways with the clean diagram.

Yes, I agree. Mike's method of fading one over the other is interesting, but I haven't yet had the leisure to try that in real life on a strange airport.

Really good for busy airports with crossed runways and LAHSO areas (land and hold short operations). If we are still calling them that...

Nice to look back on how long it took to land -- in this case, on a soft-field.

You can also see the plane ahead, even though it is on the ground ahead of me.
