I fly an airplane with a Garmin G300 which does show heading (compass), ground track (GPS), ground speed (GPS) , true airspeed (pitot and air temp/pressure), wind direction (calculated), and wind speed (calculated). All of these systems are tied together. IFly uses GPS only.

The Ground Track that is being displayed comes straight from the GPS receiver.  I've seen this issue before when the GPS is reporting incorrect information, or it's configured in a non-standard way (like it's providing Magnetic data instead of True).

Are you using an ADSB device or external GPS, or is this from the devices internal GPS?

You may want to consider installing a generic GPS untility, then if this happens again you can check the ground track from that app and see if it's also wrong.  Would help diagnose this issue.
