t's too bad I can't upload a photo to show my point - Maybe I'll try to link it.

On an airway - Desired magnetic track is 025 degrees - Listed by iFlyGPS as bearing - Okay no problem

Then you have a category called track - Which is useless other than in a no wind situation - On this trip Track says 17 degrees due to left crosswind - Tht is not my track! I need track to show my track across the ground not my current magnetic heading! All other apps like Foreflight/Garmin do this and I have no idea why iFlyGPS is different - And in my opinion wrong.

EDIT: I gave a bad answer here. iFly gives you track, not heading.

iFly has no idea what your wind correction angle is, it only knows which way you're heading. To prove it, go outside and walk a straight line across the yard with your iFly (or phone, or FF, or any other GPS app). Note your heading. Now back up and walk the same line, but walking sideways or even backwards. It'll show you the same track, because all the GPS knows is what direction you're *GOING*; not what direction you're *FACING*. So if iFly says you're tracking 17 degrees, it's because your ground track at that moment is 17 degrees. If you'll turn right until that number matches the desired track (of 025 degrees) and keep it there, you'll be headed directly to your waypoint regardless of winds aloft.

Perhaps you should look at my photo. I was steady state level flight for 30 minutes I don't get it.

Your photo proves my point. Perhaps you should try what I suggested.
