Shane,
I believe that petroleum base greases/jellies will cause rubber products (suction cups) to decompose, that was my beginning assumption

Here is what seems like a reasonable article. It also agrees with Jim's assessment not to use petroleum based products.

I'll try the Armor All solution and provide some feedback after a few days of usage.

Greg,
The beauty of the dielectric grease is its thickness, it works on scratched and mildly textured surfaces.

Correct. I was looking into that too. I was more thinking the consistency of PJ, but the chemical properties of electrical grease. Don't use PJ on rubber, it will swell and can deteriorate it.

I can report the Armor All actually works!

I load tested the mount by hanging an 19 oz weight in place of the 11 oz iFly 720.

It has been hanging two days Five Days now.

I have driven on rough roads and curves and over rough railroad tracks and it is holding fine. I have not flown with it yet.

If anyone does the dielectric grease test let us know. I would try it but I don't have any. Nor do I know which product to buy.

One question I have is, will the grease actually hold it in place or will it allow the mount to slip or slide under heavy G loads?
