I would like the option to manually configure (i.e., turn off) the pop-up buttons that warn you about an expired/expiring maps.

I can uderstand this, however we want you to know that you are flying on an expired chart. It only shows for a few seconds then dissappears. This is for the safety of all and for legal reasons.

We have noted this request, however it is for the protection of all. I't kinda like the engine light that comes on when you start your car, it's easily ignored. It's a lot less abtrusive that the "Set Belt" lights and beepers that you can't easily disable in a car. You get the jist.
