There are a couple of options I think would be helpful for charts download/updates.

1) There should be an option to allow you to click on one button to update all currently loaded charts
2) I do like the map selection option for charts, but I would also like the option to select the individual chats

The above would be the same for approach plates.

To help give some background on my request. I load WAC's for the whole US but only load sectionals for the eastern part. For me to update my charts I have to do updates with two different selections. This is why I was asking if you could have an update option to update the charts that are already loaded so I don't have to go back and go through the two selections.

WAC charts are no more.  That solves that.

When I listed WAC charts that was just an example. How about if I load sectional charts for the whole US but only load low altitude charges for a smaller area. To get both of these updated I have to keep changing my map selections to do the updates. Since I have selected different charts for different areas it would be nice to have a way to update the charts I have loaded which have updates.

Not a bad idea, separating the selection process from the update process. The only thing I wonder is how many would be in the situation of wanting two different sets of states except rarely. "How many" is always an enhancement consideration.

There are two other update methodologies I've seen which might get more use. One is overlapping updates where new charts can be downloaded a few days before they become current, with the system holding them until their effective date and then deleting the expired ones. That would allow more casual updating than the mad rush on the morning of a flight on the change date (like today!).

The other is updating only changed charts. That's especially useful for updating Terminal procedures (which are coded that way in the FAA database). In the apps I've seen that one, it significantly shortens the time it takes to update charts.
