I have cloned my SD card for my 720.
I take it home, put it in an SDcard adaptor in a USB port in my Windows PC and use your iFly Connect utility to update it at home (easier and quicker than trying to use WiFi at the airport FBO) and take it out to the plane when I leave for the airport.

What would be great is if you could provide a Windows utility that would allow me to use my PC keyboard to hand enter a flight plan (start, waypoints, finish.... and perhaps even alitudes) and save it right into the SD card. Get to take it out to the airport.
Easier than sitting in the plane and entering it on the touch screen.

Seems like that should not be a difficult utility to develop.
I'd be VERY happy with that. Would be using that feature this very morning.

To gild that lilly a bit more:
Could add to it ability to more easily than on the 720 itself edit, delete, revise, rename the flight plans already in the SDcard..... even save them it my PC. Maybe even be able to make a suggested flight plan for my son (who has an Ifly 700) and email it to him.
Maybe have the flight plan created in the PC emailable to an iPad that's got iFly in it?

I really like this suggestion! All of it, I've been wondering if there could be an easy way to get the same flight plan on both the 720 and the iPad ----

This has been noted on our Wish-List. Please now that we are working on some forms of device to device Data and Flight Plan sharing for a future software update. It's also on our wishlist to have web-based or PC flight planning tool. Good feedback.

Would love it if there was a great fully compatible iFly flight planner.... Even at the cost of abandoning all my invested experience on the AOPA flyQweb planner

In the meantime....Seems like the hand enter in a win app option might be (a) an easy quick solution (b) be a permanent work around for all the situations in which other planners (which are always moving targets) are inter comunicatable.

One pioneer in the computer industry once said " 'Better' is the enemy of 'good' . "

Idea being while working on the better solution we're not releasing a good one. ;-)
