Having used the 430's in a couple club planes and loving how they sequence through the approach I am saving for a 430 to replace my VFR KLN-89B.

I am also getting ready to work on some recurent training to get my IPC in the next couple months on the basic steam guages in my Arrow. In either case I see the iFly as a great way to make sure I know where the heck I am on the approach.

Safe flying,

Tim

I bring up the approach plate that I have to use, and I drag the course line to the approach fixes that I want to hit and it's as if I pre loaded the whole approach.

Quick and easy, and if the approach has to change at the last minute just bring up that plate and drag the lines.

I believe that you can add them to your inital flight plan, or after the plan is completed or while in route, if you drag your course line to the IAF and/or FF and tap.

A window will come up that lets youadd them to your flight plan. (sorry for the grammer)

Try it.

On the Search For Airport page if you check the 2nd box you can search for fixes, vors, etc.

Any time an approach is loaded, I'd like the missed approach to be easy to select and fly, including the holding pattern. The other information I would like to be readily available is being able to change to a route to the alternate airport with an option to select one of the approaches for the alternate airport.

I would also like a timer to start once you get to the FAF and let me start a timer when the hold is started or after I turn in-bound.

YES - I know that we can't use a hand held GPS for real IFR flying but, since I have it in the airplane, why not add some handy features?
