Thanks Andre, I'll keep that in mind. Beta testing might be fun if I can fit it into my schedule.

Cobra, thanks for the reply. I was just trying to be funny. I do know AP gets things out pretty quickly and I do really appreciate them. They are a great bunch. And the 700 rocks!!

Well, I just bought my new iFly to replace my Lowrance 2000c for which database updates are no longer available. I'm loving the iFly but really miss the profile view terrain avoidance on the Lowrance. It has a wonderful profile view with a projected line off the nose of the airplane showing climb/descent angle and time/distance. Not only did the profile show terrain but is showed airspace. Perfect for when you have to be under a Class B or C 'shelf'. To quote the manual 'The bottom window (ProfileWindow) shows your altitude relative to a 2D cross-section of the terrain under and ahead of you. This window also shows shading for different airspace categories.' What's even better was as airspace comes into the picture, bubbles with the ATIC and/or approach frequencies appeared. Anyway that's my vote for the wishlist item - Terrain and airspace Profile view! Picture attached shows flying towards a class C you can see the terrain, some towers and the class C airspace in profile. Way nicer that just the map colours changing.

Our terrain feature is well under way. Should be released early 1st Q. It will include a profile view as well as highlights on the map for high terrain, audio and visual alerts, and some really nice flight planning tools to include terrain. You should like this feature.

Thanks,
Walter
