I think I've brought this up in the past and was told it is on the list for adding terrain avoidance. Any update on when we might expect this? Garmin wants $150.00 to update. Ouch.

Thanks for the link Andre. So it's planned for v7....Let's see, just released was v6.0.8. So next is v6.0.9, than 6.1, than 6.1.1, than 6.1.2......I guess it'll be awhile

At least it's coming!!! Ya hoo.

Maybe you haven't been around here too long....the iFly has only been in existence for a couple of years, and they're already up to v6 of the software. v4 was released Nov 1 last year, v5 this past spring, and v6 about two weeks ago. They're pretty good about getting significant improvements into the software and out to users on a regular basis.

BTW, v6 was first released for beta testing in mid-August. v6.0.8 indicates that there were several minor version updates during the six-week beta testing period before it was released publicly on October 4.

If you sign up to become an iFly Beta tester, you would not only have access to this feature earlier than the general public but might also have input into as to the how this feature operates, looks, etc. Pretty cool of Walter to open this up to anyone who wants it!
