bright screen need help at night

I flew with the GPS for the first time at night and noticed that the screen is very bright. It gave off too much light that I had to turn it off. Is there away to dim the screen or put a screen over it? I really find the GPS a great tool during the day.

You can dim the screen; the easiest way to do this is with the remote. There is also a Night Vector mode that has better night colors.

The next version...coming soon, has a lot of improvements to the night mode; darkening the sectionals and low-enroutes, black background when viewing plates, etc.
