Nice post and video - concur in full.
I am trying to learn ONE NEW THING everytime I fly with iFly...a great device and/or APP!
Of course, the older you are and the longer you've been around aviation, the more (I think) you apprecaite the wonder of iFly.
Just today, a guy comes up to me, a student pilot, and tells me his CFI wants to (GASP) teach him to fly a cross-country using.....CHARTS! (sectionals)
The student pilot DID NOT OWN ANY...so I leant him some of mine.
Bottom Line: New pilots are not even buying or using charts anymore because the reliabilty and practicality of iFly is making aerial navigation and misison management EASY.
I, for one, am grateful. Do I think folks should still know how to plot courses and do it the OLD FASHIONED WAY - probably.
iFly has make flying much more enjoyable and safer for me....I echo your comments. Thanks for reminding us of the good deal we have...
