Round trip to Houston from San Antonio.  Haven't flown for about 9 weeks.  When I turned on the Stratux, the AH box comes onto the right 1/3 of the screen.  No luck getting rid of it with the panel display choices that modify the information shown, even choosing the custom one I had built, or tapping, or holding, or saying some choice words.  A little bothersome since it covers up the "+" and the "-" zoom controls, and I could not zoom the screen in or out.  Shucks.  Not a good day in the cockpit.  I am sure there is a simple step to take .... I was just ignorant for those 3 hours.  And remain so today.

The only way I know how to disable the AH is to disable the pitch and roll alerts. Go to Setup, Alerts and Warnings, AHRS Alerts.

I had the same thing happen to me. I have the Stratux using Raspberry Pi 2. I upgraded to version v1.5b2. Could not get AHRS to disable otherwise. I found you could move the instrument by touching the top then drag it out of the way but couldn't get rid of it until I disabled alerts. I found that the pitch and roll would not calibrate. Pitch and roll were way out of alignment.

Any previous version prior to 1.5b2 works correctly.

Use all the steps above to disable the alrets, and if the instrument is still there, go to Inst Group --> Customize, then click on the instrument, and select Delete instrument, then Done --> Save current, then the instrument should be off your screen.

You can also toggle the size of it in Inst Group. I like having it in my custom instrument setup because if you ever need it, it's too late to add it.
