Don,
Thanks for posting The Washington Monument!
You know, before 9/11, there was a corridore a person could fly N-S right through the DC area - no more and probably never again....

Too bad about that one. It's gone forever, for sure. Fortunately, there's still the Hudson River route. I thought they'd close it, too--but it's already been demonstrated that a VFR route past the World Trade Center is completely unrelated to knocking it down, so I guess that's enough reason to keep it open. Your airport RealView photos amused me, by the way. I first learned to fly at Reading, and I worked there for a while, too, so I thought I knew my way around. But when I landed there for the first time in about 50 years (and a few months before buying an iFly 740), I was completely lost! Had to 'fess up to the tower and ask for progressive taxi to the FBO.
"Which one," he says.
"Jeez louise!" says I--or words to that effect. "Uh... Reading Aviation?" That's where I used to work.
"Nah," he says. "Been gone for years."
We finally compromised on MillionAir because he said it was close to the motel that I'd never heard of either.
