While flying last night I noticed the NEXRAD overlay opacity varied from very low to very high, and even sometimes different between the upper and lower areas of the screen. See photos. Is this trying to tell me something, or is this a bug?

Old Pilot,

Compare the two photos they are pretty much the same shot taken one minute apart. Also, the terrain overlay does not change, while the weather overlay does. I really don't think it's the hardware...

David, we are unfamiliar with this, but looks like might be a bug. Did this go away after a while? Also what happened if you panned, did the "darker" area pan with the map? Have you ever seen this before?

Walter,

I have not seen this before, but I don't think I've seen any radar returns on the night vector screen before either. When I first saw the radar returns, they were very transparent, but then began to brighten up, sometimes all the returns and other times just part of the screen. I'm pretty sure when I panned and zoomed that it did not affect the brightness. I didn't think to check what the opacity was set at either.

Attached is another photo zoomed in closer than the others.
