I'm wondering if anyone has run across this: The jack or plug that connects the battery to the unit has become sensitive so if i touch or bump it during flght the unit sometimes loses power. When I hold the unit in my hand this happens regularly because the jack is right along the side. The plug stays in just seems to have a poor conection. I have to wiggle it or plug it in and out a few times until I happen upon a good connection then move the unit carefully so as not to lose power again. Difficult in flight to say the least, and then I have to reload the flight plan and acquire satellites again. I've used tape to stabile the power plug in the jack and taped the cord to the unit to avoid pulling on the jack when I move the unit but obviously I don't like this patchwork. Has anyone else experienced this? It almost seem that the jack has become loose with wear. I am meticulous about caring for the unit.

Hi Walter. sorry to be slow to get back. The direct power cord works fine. It has a more robust jack that seems to fit snuggly. It is the cord from the battery. But I use the battery on every flight. very maddening. I have tried taping it in etc. but it shorts out at the smallest bump on that side of the unit or even in turbulence. I have to fiddle and fiddle with it until i get lucky and it connects and starts to work. re-starting. few minutes later, look down, unit is off again... always seems to shut off when I most need the unit! What can I do?
