I have the stratux and it connects by wifi to my computer.
But you are running the Surface with GPS Complete, correct?

I couldn"t get GpsComplete to work with the new BU353W10. I think it looking for the GPS on a COM port and the new BU installs as a sensor. I am encouraged by Brian Knox interest in my problem and trust that the device will work natively.

Thank you for your input. I am going to get my old BY from the plane and see how it behaves with GPS Direct.

Brian Knox has written to me that they will not be working on the Windows 10 Rs232 problem I am having. He suggested I use Stratux.

You mentioned Stratux in an earlier post and I have Stratux with the internal GPS adapter (yesgps) but I don't understand how the stratux can help get me into the windows native location service...any more than the NMEA from ifly.
I am aware of GpsComplete but it doesn't work with the BU353W10 which installs as a sensor. I see all green bars and all looks perfect except the software does interpret the NMEA data correctly.

In a previous maritime life I used opencapn as the primary navigation device and they claim that they have made the program win10 friendly. I made a flight plan with Sjyvector, exported it into opencapn. I want to see if SOMETHING works on Win10 tablet.
