Don't most of the ADSB IN solutions have GPS as well?  That would negate the need for an external GPS antenna.

12vdc -> USB voltage converters are a "dime a dozen".

I use the built-in GPS in the Tab series tablets and find that they track very closely, if not the same, and the 740. My Stratux is mounted under the glovebox in the 182 - don't think it gets a GPS signal (I don't remember if it has a GPS chip or not).

Yes, pretty much all of them have GPS.

I am using the newer Tripltek 8 Pro with iFly GPS and it is fantastic.

Much heavier than an ipad mini due to the long-lasting huge battery, but nice bright 8" screen. About $800 as of Dec. 2021.

Question for the Tripletek users... will this unit running IFLY drive an auto pilot through it's serial output?
