Dual GPS & IFly GPS (android) not communicating with Nexus 7

N7 indicates that it is paired with the Dual 160 I bought at SnF. Internal GPS turned off. The Dual blue LED flashes then goes out. I guess the two are not realy paired. In any case the IFly GPS program appears to not show ;the GPS information. Any recommendations?

I'm not familiar with the Dual 160, just the 150 and 170. Does it have a switch to select Android vs Apple? Did you select the Dual XGPS in the IFly Connected Devices menu?

Thanks Jim.

He's right. The switch (if it exists) must be set to "Other" not "Apple".

Then, more explicitly, you'll find the other option under: "Menu => About => Connected Devices" then tap "Select Wireless Device" and choose "Dual XGPS". This tell iFly to establish the connection.

The Dual XGPS160 has no external switches. I selected the Dual XGPS setting and still get "No devices found". So while the N7 says that it is paired there is no communication between the two. The blue LED on the Dual is not illuminated which to me means that the two are not connected. This is supposed to be simple.

Gene,

On the 160, just pair your N7 with the Dual. Then open our app and touch Menu -> About -> Connected Devices and set the Wireless Device to Dual XGPS. This should be all that is needed. There will not be any "data" or device info in the Connected device window. If you are not seeing an improved GPS signal in the Fix Quality instrument, then confirm you have a Green GPS light and a Blue Bluetooth light on the Dual.

If you are not, you might try downloading the Bluetooth Helper App from the App store, however we have not found this to be needed. Also, make sure you are updated to the latest 8.1.68 iFly Version. I hope this helps.
