If you go there you'll see --
"Attention iPad Users: The latest release introduced a bug that can cause a freeze up immediately after the app launches. You may resolve this problem by uninstalling the app, then reinstalling from the App Store. You will then be prompted to download fresh data. When complete, touch "Menu" / "Register/Subscribe" to re-attach your iPad to your account.
We are rushing a release through Apple that will correct this bug. (If you can wait for that release to be published, uninstalling will not be necessary.) "
This brings up to me several questions:
If we delete the app and reinstall it won't we lose our customizations? Instruments we've chosen, aircraft profile, custom waypoints, flight plans, etc?
And to WHICH releases/versions of the app does this notice apply?
For example, I have 8.2.44 . Does it apply to that one?
And, finally: Am I inferring correctly that the iPad iFly software doesn't automatically get checked for available SOFTWARE updates when you go to the menu and select Check For Updates (as happens on the 720 when checking for updates)? That it only checks for charts, weather, TFRs, etc? That one has to periodically go through the app store update routine to say current with software?
