I had a production version, but I don't know what the version number was. One thing I did notice is that the version I just downloaded is 8.1.67, and reading in the Beta forum, there was a version 8.1.68b issued to fix an issue with 8.1.67b just like what I had: "This release fixes the lock-up on start-up. That was a calendar-based critical bug associated with our own Beta software timeout."

I don't know how closely the Beta version and production versions relate, but is it possible that the current version in the app store has the old 8.1.67b bug?

I wish it were that easy...but no, that issue was black and white, and doesn't exist in the current code base. Since we've had a 2nd user report this problem, I'm going to escalate the priority of this issue on our internal list.
