I've traditionally used Foreflight for my flight planning operations. I became aware of IFly's entry into the IPad market when I renewed my subscription.

My question is- Are there any ForeFlight people out there that have converted, or tried to convert, to IFly IPad and, if so, what has been your experience?

Thanks, Bill

I have been using iFly 720 for years, but, on the iPad I have been using WingX and Foreflight -- WingX has been my "go to" app. HOWEVER, since the iFly app has been available on my iPads (mini retina, and Gen2), iFly has been my favorite for most flights. Frankly, the iPad seems to be a more stable platform for the iFly app --- no "lockup" or "lost GPS" issues.

I have used all three programs on my iPad. I have an iFly 720 that I purchased because of its visibility in my RV and its ability to connect with my ADSB receiver. I used Wing X to replace Foreflight because it also allowed my ADSB receiver. Now that IFly has an iPad app, I have converted to iFly on my iPad so that I have the same info on both devices and using one helps with knowing how to use the other. If iFly would work on my iPhone, then I wouldn't need another program for planning and other pre-flight information.

Good news. We are about to start our phone version for iPhone s and improved Android phones this month. Your wait is nearing an end for phone compatibility. Thought you might like to know that. Have a great evening.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. I think it is only $20 to upgrade if you already have a 720 subscription.
