I assume iflyGPS supports uAvionix AHRS so your tablet should be receiving the right information.  I suspect the lack of smoothness is due to several factors:

* processing speed of your tablet

* latency of wifi

* update rate of the uAvionix AHRS chip

I have a Garmin 795 and hardwired GDL39-3D that is pretty good with SynVis.  Performance degrades a bit if I change the connection to Bluetooth.

Thanks Dave:

I am in the process of freeing up memory on my Samsung tablet.

FYI.  I used SynVis (GPS based, not from an external unit) on my Samsung S8 yesterday and it was very smooth with no glitches.  YMMV.

Personally, I would not want to use AHRS based on GPS in actual instrument conditions. In an emergency situation, if I had to rely on the iFly AHRS, I would want it to be fed with an ADS-B device that contained an AHRS sensor.

Dave:

I did more testing on my TAB A tablet and have also found that even when I touch my finger to the screen to move the map position that this too is jerky as opposed to my Galaxy Note 9 phone. I have freed up memory and closed apps running in the background on the tablet. The phone doesn't seem to have these issues with the exception to what I have mentioned below.

I don't remember the map position being this jerky before the last change that added the sketch feature.

Along with that issue, I now find that I can't view charts on my NOTE 9 unless I'm in the portrait mode. Landscape only gives the vector charts.
