A friend wanted to change the visor on his Cessna 182 to one that has tinted plastic. He had to fill out a 337 form and use a "certified" (read more costly) visor to be legal.

The ruels for ADSB for experimentals allow non-certified units as long as that satisfy the "performance requirments."

Just another reason to own experimentals as opposed to certified aircraft.

I believe the Passenger Warning sticker on my panel warns that my aircraft" isn't built to the the standards of certified aircraft."

I have also been told that keeping to TSO standards on certified aircraft also helps to maintain pricing.

Dallas Avionic is offering a great deal on Uavionix ADSB units at about 2/3 the selling price. This is only for those who lost out with the Navworx debacle.

Mine is in the mail.

I've done business with Dallas Avionics.  Very good prices.

I had already ordered my ECHO ADSB from Shane at Uavionix and he gave me the same deal as did Dallas Avionix.

MY Echo ADSB from Uavionix is installed and working very well with the added benefit that I also get the 1090 signal so the the airliners can be seen. Plus the unit can be set up using my Androiid phone. Total cost $1090. Easy installation.Took about 30 minutes to install.

Speaking of airliner I read that only 19% of them have ADSB installed.
