Mike,

We have added the rudimentary support to use the GPS signals from external devices like the Clarity, iLevil, etc. However it's not enabled just yet. We will be adding WAAS to the iFly, which I tested this weekend along with more tests of the Clarity.

Unfortunately the Clarity does not support a wired connection and the iFly 700 does not support wireless, so the 700 won't work with the Clarity. The iFly 720 will work with wired and wireless ADS-B receivers and GPS's, however not Bluetooth. But most of the ADS-B and GPS combos are going the route of Wi-Fi, not BT.

I should have some close up images of the Clarity SV and Traffic, also limited Weather as we were blessed with clear skies this weekend, just very windy. That was fun to fly and take pics by myself, but I knew you all would like the low down!

The following pictures were taken with the Clarity SV and the iFly 720, connect wirelessly. The Clarity does not support wired connection so only the 720 will work with it. I've asked them if they can support a wired connection in the future.

I'll get some pics up on the device and packaging shortly as well. But here is what most are looking for, some on-screen shots, they very tight so that text and all can easily be seen. You'll see on the Weather Mode, how the METARs and stations are shown and look, if you touch the screen you get the standard Weather, just like a WX/TFR update. Unfortunately, there has been now weather to produce NexRad so I'm waiting to get some real-time shots of that. Coming soon.

As for Traffic. We are making some basic revisions to how traffic is shown. Some of these, you may see a small magenta dot with a stinger coming off of it. Those are when the traffic is not in alert zone, they will now be a small triangle as you will see in the pics below. There will basically be a Smaller Triangle with colors denoting status or closeness and a larger Triangle that will flash red for a critical alert status. What is not shown here is that the triangles for Traffic flash from solid to outlined.

ADS-B Traffic on Sectional.

ADS-B Traffic on Weather Mode with Clarity ADS-B (magenta dots are traffic and will become triangles)

ADS-B Traffic Details on Weather Mode with Clarity ADS-B (pressed More)

ADS-B Traffic on Low Enroute IFR with Clarity ADS-B

More pics to come. I'll get some AHRS and Weather Pics up soon. I can probably get Weather and AHRS on the ground so I can control the AHRS and work the weather better. Stay tuned!

For those who noticed the icon, we will be adding some new position icons in our next release, both larger and without the white halo. So far, its a High Wing, Low Wing, Twin, Canard and the Shell Stinson Gull Wing. I tried not to make it too obvious, but that didn't work. Oh and we'll keep the existing ones too I believe. I guess this is just one sneak peak. Many more coming.

Shane:
Pictures look good. Can't wait to see the NEXRAD. Count me in for a Clarity SV voucher program, or an initial group purchase discount offer. You guys rock! ----Ralph

Thanks,

I can't commit Sagetech into a bundle or voucher program, but I've put the ball in their court. I've expressed our interest and desire with a few of the ADS-B companies, the Clarity and iLevil are to very impressive units. I'll keep everyone apprised of the progress on this.

I truly think the iFly 720 is the perfect "Dedicated Aviation" device to bundle with one or both these devices. We want the iFly to continue to be the most compatible ADS-B portable aviation GPS device. Stay tuned!
