Thanks for the quick lesson in these! Stuff like this makes so much sense, and I guess since I'm a VFR guy here in Texas just never had to deal with them! I'll pass it along to dev team to see if we can get something pulled up.

Oh wow...you're right.  I didn't realize they were treated differently between the NE and CA.  I was only familiar with them in CA.  Wonder why the difference?

It's a great question.I have no idea. I can sort of understand why they are limited to only the two ost cogensted parts of the country, but no clue why the implementation was comletely different. Out of curiosity I tossed some feelers out. If I get a bit I will let you know.

Basically, they are a subset of the IFR Preferred Routes i the back of the Chart Supplement. That's really all they are in the northeast, so no need for implementing them. But SOCAL especially, they are used extensively.

Any interest is seeing how those two I know of do it? I can do an iPad video capture, although I guess you have access to your competitors'products, so the dev team can look. The two I know of wich support them are ForeFlight (which allows loading them by name or via the common route search) and Stratus Insight (formerlie Aerovie). FlyQ does not do them.

It wouldn't be difficult to do when next chart supplements come out. I handle chart data and can make it happen.
