Mac, I contacted JJ at iFly support.  He had me enable ADS-B logging on the 740 and fly for 25 minutes.  Downloaded that info from the sim card to my computer and emailed to him.  Hopefully he can find an error and provide corrective info.

Shane was the VP at Adventure Pilot and left for uAvionix.  I don't understand why uAvionix is no longer supporting iFly.  I thought the PingEFB was perfect for iFly GPS especially with its simplicity and small form.  I velcroed mine to the back of my 740.

Just so you don't feel alone...I have the same problem. Aircraft are reported thousands of feet above actual.

Thanks Steve.  Walter (Adventure Pilot CEO) replied but did not have a fix.  Don't know how to proceed as uAvionix keeps passing the buck to iFly.  I would gladly purchase another PingEFB but they are no longer in production.

Thanks for taking this recording and sending us the log file.  Replaying this recording, I see a line of aircraft arriving at MSP.  Altitudes appear reasonable for the approaching aircraft.  And I don't see any errors in the data itself.  So this is a mystery.  It could be an interpretation issue within the Ping firmware, but unfortunately we don't have any way of diagnosing or repairing an issue at that level.  I think going forward, I would continue to treat traffic altitudes from the Ping as "iffy".

Thanks, Guys.  ...looks like an "in" product that in so many ways is (was!!??) truly IDEAL is becoming "too good to be true".  It is surprising that the always genuinely customer-friendly folks over @ uAvionix seem to not even want to acknowlege that it ever existed, refuse to support it, and really don't even want to talk about it.  And, while I'm totally confident that JJ and Walter have tried their best to help "us", it sure would be great to hear that (also super customer oriented!) AP has found another nifty "little" (and, affordable! ;-) product like the ole "Ping Buddy"...or, better still, a method for fixing those existing out hereenlightened. Mac

Mac, why couldn't iFly develope their own ADS-B IN perhaps licensing it from uAvionix in the same small Ping format that plugs into the USB port?

OR

Build ADS-B IN into their next version of 740/740b.
