I had this problem with my battery cable. Ed got me another one in just a couple days...

After several hours of trying to isolate the problem you are describing Henry, I found that in my case the problem is not with the cables but the connection between the iFly and the cable. I have contacted Ed and hopefully there is a simple solution. BTW...taping the cable to the unit helps...just looks tacky.

Update: I receive an email from Ed about the power down. He informed me the unit would need to be returned. Waiting on details of that process but I think that the unit is the source as the plug does move when the cable is tensioned a bit. You might want to contact Ed and see if he thinks you have a similar problem, Henry.
