I wanted a case to store & carry my iFly/SkyRadar combo. Looked at several options from shoe boxes to tackle boxes, but nothing "felt" right. Then I noticed an old Black & Decker cordless drill case in the garage that hasn't seen a cordless drill in years. After gutting the insides and gluing in some foam, this is the result. It's a tight fit, but it carries the two units and all accessories without movement. The little black line on the right-hand side is a backup SD card, inserted vertically in a slit in the foam for protection. Gives me peace of mind when lugging around two critical aviation tools.

I used to put the iFly in a Crown Royal bag inside this case, but decided it was overkill and raised eyebrows when seen in the cockpit. Since you also use the SkyRadar L, notice the small antenna near the bottom of the iFly. It's a removable antenna from a Linksys wireless "N" router. I cut one back and measured the internal antenna wire, and if I Googled correctly (I'm no brainiac) it very nearly coincides with a 1/4 wave of 978Mhz. It certainly seems to increase my coverage when I fly over mostly non-covered Mississippi.
