Just saw this in the new products section of the Ram website. http://www.ram-mount.com/NewProducts/... The close up view of the attachement screw looks like it might be the right shape for the ifly.

I'd be interested in whether this works. Does any know? I lost my suction mount and am looking for a replacement. Thus I don't have one handy to see how this one compares size-wise. if someone can measure theirs and let me know, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks to Bill Long and this thread I bought one of these RAP-B-375U (1" Ball) from gpscity.com for $7.60 . It works like it was made for the iFly. To use properly you have to cinch up the nylon lock nut so that you have one or two threads showing past the end. Then the t-slot adapter goes in and locks at about a 45 degree cant (rather than 90 degrees). Can tighten and loosen by hand in a jiffy. I like that configuration. Very solid and adjustable when done. Works will all the rest of the RAM mount stuff. This 1" ball is much larger than the original mount ball size as shipped with the iFly so you'll have to spend a few more bucks to spring for a Ram arm and base, of your choosing.
