I made a real nice mount for the column on my Bonanza. Used a piece of teak wood, band sawed it out and sanded it, painted it flat black and it really looks professionally made. With a star washer in the right place it even clicks when adjusted. Clamps with a 2" hose clamp on the column. Perfect positioning and doesn't block any of the panel. Surprised no one makes a mount to replace the suction cup.

I had a Garmin 496 before the IFly700. I unscrewed the four screws holding the plastic mounting piece from the Garmin column mount and stuck a 2 inch piece of Velcro on the flat portion of the Garmin mount and a 2 inch Velcro strip on the back of the IFly700. The IFly700 fits perfectly between the yoke handles and doesn't block any instruments. It is very handy for seeing approach plates and charts. This leaves plenty of space for the remote antenna plug-in. My plane has a springy cord from the yoke to the instrument panel for the autopilot and electric trim so I feed the remote antenna and power cord through the middle of the spring cord to cut down the loose wires.
