Various pictures below of iFly on my Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 tablet in my Challenger II and screenshots from my phone from a couple of flights around KPIL. I really like the situational awareness I get from iFly while in flight and how I can use the ground track post flight to critique my pattern entries, pattern work and count up my landings. Really been enjoying playing with this since I got my license last August.
And just in case someone is wondering about my flights...on the screen shots of the flight tracks I was the only one at the airport flying each day so wasn't hogging the traffic pattern. The first ground track shows three simulated engine outs I did just after take off. (short circles and one turn back in the middle of the runway). Also practicing 800' and 1000' pattern altitudes which is reflected in the farther out downwind legs. As a newbie pilot being able to critique myself after flying has been very helpful. I also tried looking at the flight tracks in some other software to see if I could pick up the altitude data so I could critique how well I'm holding my altitude but couldn't get it to work. Hoping to figure that out this summer.
