Living in the high mountains of northern NM, I make use of the terrain avoidance function all the time for my en route flight-path adjustments. However, one of the limitations I find to be annoying is the limited area shown for terrain avoidance. If one is plotting a path through the mountains, a longer range view of high terrain of something on the order of 300 miles would be very useful. I don't know if the current limitation is a memory limitation, application limitation or just what someone presumed would be an adequate area, but a larger area for terrain would be really nice to have.
