Walter - I'd like to suggest a little distance scale on the map. It could be just a black line that is five or ten units (miles or nautical miles) long. Of course it would grow or shink as you zoom in or out. I'll leave it up to you as to wheither this would be a new 'instrument' or just a setting under 'Map Settings'.

On a similar note, the 'Distance Circles' still isn't what I had in mind. The circles need to be moveable - not just centered at the departure airport. I would like to be able to recenter the circles at each of my fuel stops as I plan my long x-countries.

Thanks! Jim Williams

Hi Walter - Been thinking about this some more. Maybe just another 'instrument' would do the trick. The instrument would display the number of miles or natical miles per inch according to the current zoom factor. - Jim Williams

Or how about an instrument like this: < 120nm > that shows that the GPS is zoom to a factor that shows 120nm from the left side to the right side of the screen. - Jim

FWIW - I find the existing distance circles with distances shown covers this requirement perfectly adequately for me.
