This feature is a big plus in engine out emergency situations.

My passengers often fly with own devices going and have this feature up on thier displays...

I think it can be useful, especially going over water...

I think the NEAREST AIRPORT feature (which we already have) is actually more helpful to me, but that's just me...

I personally do NOT think I would have it up on display all the time - my preferenc is to limit clutter, but that's just me.
