I agree that;

1) It’s a great concept

2) It’s certainly do-able by AP

3) It’s impractical to design and market a combination GPS-ads-b unit, for the simple reason that the market is too small. There is fierce competition out there for both technologies, and a $1000+ (?) combination unit wouldn’t sell in a high enough quantity to ever recoup the development costs. 

But I do like the idea. Too bad the ads-b requirement wasn’t a higher priority about 4-5 years ago when I upgraded to the 740!

I also would replace my 740 with a 750 if it had ADS-B In built-in. I'd love to reduce the number of devices in the cockpit by removing the Stratux unit I built. The current size is OK, a bit larger would be OK, but not larger than iPad mini. In fact, I would replace the current Samsung tablet with the 740, letting it get the ADS-B info via WiFi from the 750.

A bigger screen, yes - but also add capacitive touch (pinch zoom) technology that allows the user to zoom in/out with 2 fingers instead of pushing dedicated buttons.

FYI, one big reason why iFly has a resistive screen instead of a capacitive screen is because they're far better performers in bright sunlight, and that's been a big selling point for iFly hardware over the years.  They've got the best sunlight-readable devices available.  It's a direct trade-off...or at least it has been in the past.  Not sure where that tech comparison stands today, but I'd guess it still favors the resistive screens.
