I may be jumping the gun a bit, since v6 hasn't even been officially released yet, but I already have a request for improvement.
I was using the beta version over the weekend and landed at an airport with an airport diagram, so I had the diagram queued up and launched it as soon as I was clear of the runway.
Unfortunately, perhaps because of personal ineptitude or who knows what, it took me several seconds to reconcile what I expected to see wtih what actually appeared. I knew that I wanted to turn left on the taxiway, but because I was not moving, the mini airplane on the map was pointing the wrong direction and almost fooled me into thinking I was at a different intersection and needed to turn right.
One way to resolve this and more clearly illustrate where you are would be to show where you've been. If I'd seen a trail showing my landing, rollout, and turn onto the taxiway linkage, my brain would have instantly discarded the mini-airplane orientation error, and I would have had confidence in where / how I needed to turn.
Could you please consider adding a "trail of breadcrumbs" option? I think the device already records your history, so it would be a matter of retrieving and plotting the recent points.
Thanks,
Jim
PS: Great job adding the georef capability to an already outstanding platform! Can't wait to get an antenna and see what weather looks like!
