So, now that v10.1 is out, I suppose this is the proper forum for this request: I suggest iFly needs one more button to set the Altimeter. "Manual then Automatic."

I was departing my home airport today, which does NOT have an ADS-B tower on the field. So I had to set the new iFly Altimeter manually.

But, once airborne, I pick up ADS-B and would like iFly to automatically switch over to the nearest METAR when it gets ADS-B.

I just use my airplane's altimeter and let iFly pick up ADS-B soon after take-off. In the mean time, GPS altitude is fine and probably preferred near the ground.

Except that traffic altitude won't be right unless/until the iFly Altimeter is set.

Update: When I returned from my flight, the Altimeter had changed itself from Manual to Automatic.

So it appears to be doing what I would like it to do - except that Manual should stay Manual for special cases where it needs to Hold a setting.

Remember, our airplane altimeter is primary, iFly is secondary. I don't want another button to push. I think we're good as is. That's just my opinion, feel free to disagree.
