Would it be possible to have a sort of basic world map, prefereably with some aviation data--such as airports--so that iFly would be useful in other countries?
I was in Patagonia for several weeks recently and took several internal airline flights, as well as the international flights from and to the U.S. Alas, the iPhone iFly app had no idea where I was, the whole time. I had to use the Garmin Pilot app to identfy airports, track my progress between them, and so on. Garmin supplies (free) basic VFR, IFR, and Roads/Borders maps for the entire world, regardless of which aviation charts are paid for. I'm subscribed only to Garmin's US sectional charts, but see airport and nav data for every country on the planet. Radar weather for many places, too.
There are a lot of reasons to prefer the iFly app, but Garmin is better in this regard.
