I love this idea also. I regestered a complaint with the AOPA planned for only not showing fuel remaining over multiple legs. I usually make two fuel stops per day when going cross country.

Just checking in to see if this feature is still in development and when/if it might be showing up.

Also it occurred to me that the refueling option upon landing should let the user specify how much fuel to add so that consideration for density altitude and payload could be factored in rather than just refueling to the capacity shown in the aircraft profile.

You would actually need to create a weight and balance function.  That gets pretty tricky because every airplane has it's own actual weights and moments, etc.  If you can't do it accurately, you probably shouldn't go there.
